The Apprentice

A helper who gathers or processes materials alongside you.

Hire an Apprentice from the shop's upgrades once your reputation reaches level 8. They work one gathering or processing task of your choice alongside you, even while you're away, and their finds go straight to your bank.

Training

Level	Cost	Pace	What changes
1	50,000 gold	50% of yours	Hired. Works any task except the one you're doing.
2	150,000 gold	65% of yours	Can work the same task as you, side by side.
3	450,000 gold	75% of yours	Faster still.

What they don't do

They never craft or fight, don't trigger perks or sweet spots, and stop when a crate is full or the materials run out. They're there for the materials: the skill gets only a tenth of the XP their work would give you.

Giving them a job

Their card sits at the top of the Skills tab. Tap it for the job list; it shows their job with Stop. On iPhone Duo an Apprentice ring sits above your activity ring.
