Where to get it
Beat a 
Mushroom Cap in 
Bramblewood and now and then it leaves its baby hiding: you hear a noise under the rubble (about 1 in 150 kills while you don't have this kind, 1 in 300 once you do). Lift the rubble gently to find it. See Finding pets.
Or hatch one from a 
Mystery Egg: 6.1% of eggs hold this kind.
What it's for
Adopt it in Pets and it becomes your 
Mushroom Cap. Already have one? Feed it to yours instead and your pet goes up a tier.
