Mushroom Cap
The
Mushroom Cap of
Bramblewood, raised as a pet. Pets are free from the start: every regular monster can be one, never a boss. See Pets.
How to get one
Beat a
Mushroom Cap in
Bramblewood and now and then it leaves its baby hiding: you hear a noise under the rubble (about 1 in 150 kills while you don't have this kind, 1 in 300 once you do). Lift the rubble gently to find it. See Finding pets.
Or hatch one from a
Mystery Egg: 6.1% of eggs hold this kind.
Either way it arrives as a
Baby Mushroom Cap in your bank: adopt it in Pets. About 1 in 40 is Starborn: it glows, has a second trait, and its bonuses are doubled.
Tiers and forms
Find another baby of a kind you already have and you can feed it to your pet: it goes up a tier, Common up to Mythic. It grows into its next form at Rare and again at Legendary.
| Tier | Form | Hunt bonus | Shop bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | Sporeling | +2% Double loot chance | +1% faster recipe mastery |
| Uncommon | Sporeling | +3% Double loot chance | +1.5% faster recipe mastery |
| Rare | Mushroom Cap | +4% Double loot chance | +2% faster recipe mastery |
| Epic | Mushroom Cap | +5% Double loot chance | +2.5% faster recipe mastery |
| Legendary | Old Mushroom | +6% Double loot chance | +3% faster recipe mastery |
| Mythic | Old Mushroom | +7% Double loot chance | +3.5% faster recipe mastery |
Starborn pets get twice these. Keen Nose adds half again to the shop bonus.
In a fight
Bring it on hunts and it fights beside you: a bite every 5s, and from 2 hearts its move Spore Cloud every 18s: A web that holds the monster still for a moment. From 6 hearts it's rank II, stronger again. While it hunts with you it gives +2% Double loot chance (at Common).
In the shop
Make it your shop pet and it roams the shop, giving +1% faster recipe mastery (at Common). Tap it once a day for a little XP.
